Last year I decided to join a dating website - which believe it or not was not my idea! I got pushed into doing it, I swear! (Gun to my head and all sorts!). Anyways, totally enjoyed the interest I received … 630 interests in first 3 weeks and over 4,000 profile views! Let me add to the stats – 300 interests were in 48hours! Yes! I am boasting… but even Cheryl Cole or Kim Kardashian probably wouldn’t get that!
So I did my usual searching through 1,000 minging profiles and came a cross a nice looking guy, to whom I expressed an interest. About a week later, he accepted. However, I’m a cheapskate Indian and did not wish to fork out £51 for 3 months just so I can contact the guy, so tried to find him on facebook! If there ever was an award for Facebook stalker of the century, hands in the air, I would win that! I didn’t even know the guys name based on his profile but guessed what it might be from his nick named user ID and searched through about a few hundred and stumbled across his profile on facebook!
I messaged and he soon messaged back. It wasn’t long until he dropped his phone number. He seemed very normal, down to earth and hot based on the few pictures I could view! He also had a nice voice as we spoke a wee bit before the ‘first date’.
So as soon as I saw him, initial thoughts, bit shorter than I had expected and omg how fair is he for an Indian guy and oohhh nice eyes! We hugged and made our way to the bar. I knew the area and pass on my way home and is close to where he lives so suggested we meet there.
When we got to bar, he asked me what I’d like to drink. Red wine spritzer seemed like a good option, as I didn’t seem boring with just an Orange juice or coke! I went and sat down on the nice comfy sofa… as he went to the bar. Dilema – it made sense for me to sit on the left hand side of the sofa, however as you are aware I have a better side which meant he would be looking at my bad side! But I couldn’t sit on the other side as it would be awkward for him to get to his seat! Anyhow I sat on the left, and made sure I tried to face towards my good side as much as poss! Ok you’re reading this and thinking what a useless paragraph of information, however this is an important factor, I needed to highlight to convey my feelings of this problem I had!
He came over with the drinks and conversation flowed really well. We made jokes, never felt nervous or awkward and seemed to get on really well. Talked about everything and anything!
So we sat there for about an hour and then I was mega hungry! Well I was starving as soon as I got there… but then forgot! Yes – me! I forgot I was hungry! I asked if he was hungry and decided to go for a bite to eat. We headed towards Nandos, but holy baloney the queue was massive so I suggested this Chinese buffet place! I had to act like a lady and eat like a lady at an all you can eat buffet! Bad move! Lol!
During dinner our conversations were still flowing, and I actually stopped eating in between to talk! This really isn’t like me! Anyways once we were done, he paid for me! (passed test 1st date test as per last blog post of Intro Numero Uno). I did offer, but he was persistent he would pay.
We walked back to car park and he gave me a hug goodbye and also said we should meet up again. I never get to second date levels! I passed the first date test! Shouldn’t get too excited it hasn’t happened yet! But nice he suggested we meet again. Texted to say I got home okay, and said I had a really nice evening with him. He replied ‘yes we should meet again and maybe sometime next week?’ Question mark = he asked to meet next week!?!
Right, so that is the end of my first online date experience
Lots of Love,

Wait there, what happened to this guy then? He seemed nice, even though it was written a very long time ago, it would be interesting to here whether a second date happened and if so how that went?
